Oh For Heaven’s Cake, with a cherry on top!
So here goes! I’m about to lose my ‘Blog Cherry’! There have been a few ‘firsts’ around these parts lately, with the launch of our shiny new website and Pinterest page. So while we’re on a roll, we’re adding our first blog post to the list! I may be losing a cherry but I’m pretty sure it’ll end up on top of a cake before too long! Waste not, want not and all that good stuff!
The background check!! My name’s Niamh Boylan and it’s a pleasure to make your aquaintance! I’ve been in this industry for about 20 years now! Yeowza! Where does the time go. I started out as a pastry chef back in the day and spent the next fifteen years on a pretty steep learning curve, in kitchens both around the world and here at home. I always knew I wanted to set up shop for myself one day and in 2009 I finally took the leap and began making cakes. It’s been pretty non stop since then! Touch wood (she says hugging a door. Dignified!)
I quickly discovered that I just love designing and making cakes for someone’s special event! I’m a big fan of everything from elegant and traditional wedding cakes to crazy, fun novelty cakes. Getting a cake specially made for a big event, whether it’s a birthday party or wedding day, is a perfect opportunity to create something that’s personal to you!
